Todd took Amanda & Sarah on a date to the annual Daddy Daughter Dance. They had fun dancing the night away. Actually I think it's more like ditch daddy dance because they always end up finding their friends and running off with them. They do occasionally find their way back and give dad a couple of dances. They always have a great time.

A Rat named JAMIE!

Well I've heard of naming your children after people you love or admire but, a pet rat?! Okay, so our friend Kristen loves animals. The last time she came and stayed with us she talked about how she wanted to find a HAIRLESS Rat to take home. We jumped on Craigslist and voila we found someone close by that had one for sale. She brought is home and threw names back and forth and decided she wanted to name the rat JAMIE. Should I be honored or horrified? Here is a picture of my namesake. What do you think, any resemblance?
My Parents
WOW! this past year my parents celebrated their 40th anniversay. All of my siblings got together and surprised our parents. My brother and his family even flew in. My parents were very excited and surprised. It was the first time we were all together in 8yrs(?). What a great time. We had a blast. We even all went to church with my parents on Sunday. Count to this day: 5 children & 11 grandchildren
Rebecca turned 14
Okay so Rebecca's Birthday is January 1. She turned 14 this year. I can't believe she will be in High School this year. YIKES! I don't feel like I'm old enough to have a 14 yr old. Oh well! Just a quick story about her birthday. Since she was a little girl we would either attend or watch the Rose Parade on New Years Day. We told her it was a special parade just to celebrate her birthday. Isn't that terrible. Anyways it worked until she got old enough to figure it out. LOL! We love her so much. Isn't she cute?!
Finally a new post
Okay so I have been REALLY bad at posting things. I am going to try to be better, I promise. So I am going to try to do several posts over the next day or two to try to catch up on some of our going ons. Wish me luck! Here we go....

FALL!!!!
This is my FAVORITE time of year. The weather cools down, leaves start changing colors and falling, people seem happier, we have Halloween, Thanksgiving and everyone starts getting in the mood for Christmas. There's not a better time of the year. I LOVE IT!

Demolition
Who knew that demolition could be so much fun but also sooo much work?! The neighbor kids even came over and got in the action. My mom and dad came for a few days to help and help is what they did. My dad did the canned lighting for us and ran the gas line for the new stove amongst other things. THANKS MOM & DAD!

Davis Family Reunion
In July we had a Family Reunion for Todd's moms side of the family. It was at their house in Oregon. Everyone seemed to have a great time. It was great meeting a lot of family I hadn't met yet as well as seeing some we hadn't seen in a long time.

Mom, Gael and all of the Clausen kids with their children.

Todd with his mom and siblings.
Tanya, Lee(mom), Greg, Todd and Tim

Some of the cousins having fun in the river water. Part of Lee and Gael's backyard backs up to an inlet of the Rogue river.

Ryan having fun on a swing at one of Lee's neighbors houses.

Some of the cousins hangin out.
Halzey, Victoria, Cheyanne holding Devin, Amanda and Rebecca

Amanda helped Ryan set this up in his room.
He was in heaven for days.
Playing w/ Thomas at the Train museum in Sacramento
This boy loves trains! that's an understatement. If it looks like a train, sounds like a train, he thinks he needs to have it. Thomas and his friends are his favorites, but he is happy with any trains. Of course because of this we now belong to the Train Museum is Sacramento.
